- How We Gather Donor Information
The Floating Hospital uses two third party sources, Everyaction and Givergy, to help gather donor information to forward our charitable purpose. We use these third parties to collect information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses. Donors may also voluntarily provide additional information such as birthdays, anniversaries, interests and personal milestones.
Furthermore, we use the services of these third parties to conduct wealth screening, prospect research, identifying potential supporters and to address verification services.
We also collect information through direct correspondence when donors share details that are relevant to our philanthropic relationship.
- How We Use Donor Information
Donor information is collected for the primary purpose of maintaining relationships with our donors and to support fundraising work. To this end donor information is used to record gifts, acknowledge contributions and keep track of the giving histories of our donors. Additionally, we use the information provided by our donors to send out updates of our work in the community, to make appeals and invite donations based on a particular donor’s giving history and engagement with The Floating Hospital.
We strive to personalize our outreach by recognizing important milestones, sharing news about programs we offer that are of particular interest to our donors, and by identifying potential supporter’s philanthropic interests and estimated giving capacities.
